I have a 2016 F150 with the blind spot monitoring side view mirrors currently installed. The truck does not have the associated sensors so I would like to change them to the mirrors with the bubble feature in the corner. Does anyone know if these will fit the same mount and housing? Additionally, if anyone knows how to remove the mirrors safely, instructions on how to do so would be appreciated.

 

Someone knocked mine off earlier this year so I had to buy a new one. I followed the instructions in this video. 10 min job, including the beer.

 

Not looking to change the entire housing (if avoidable). I was hoping to just remove the mirror itself and install the other in its place.

 

Not exact same year as yours but should give u an idea. Hit up your local Ford dealer for the part number of the glass and price shop online for the best price. Good luck.

 

Carton - where you able to find out how to do this? I also want to change my mirror glass and am interested in the removal / installation instructions.

 

I have not pursued this as shortly after my initial post I realized my DS mirror has a auto dimming feature when hit with enough light. However, I would still be interested in swapping my PS mirror but it has not been priority. I will reply with information if I do switch them.

 

Were you able to figure out how to remove them? I did mine pretty easily when I painted my caps.
