They do make nice toppers, but they are heavier than ARE! Not sure which one I got, but they did a nice job on it. Mine has the twin handles on the door and concealed hinge. Yours has the frameless setup which looks pretty good. The color match on Ruby Red was spot on too. I got the drop down front slider so I can clean the back window and have used it a few times already. Mine was $1475, they had a sale last February.
There may be a resolution to that. ARE's anticipated Evolve and Revo trims won't have the "shelf" that the current topper versions have. I put a deposit on a Z-series Evolve back in June... I'm still waiting for one. I got this update yesterday (edited for readability):

I always was a big fan of Leer, but with my current fiberglass Leer cap after every rain storm the back bed is soaked. The rear of the cap slopes in so the door is on a slope. Bad design. It leaks like a sieve.

Is it the cap or the tailgate? 15 plus f150s have a gap in the tailgate. go inside, close the cap and tailgate and you'll see daylight thru the gap. Thats fords design. water comes right in. my dealer put in a tailgate seal and so far Ive got zero leaks

Correct.
My leer is great. It's the 1/4"+ gap around the tailgate that lets water and dirt in. I have a seal, just haven't installed yet

Nope. I've been in contact with ARE on their FB site. Their delivery date on these has been a moving target. My local sales guy says it shouldn't be any issue having one installed by December. I'm hoping it's long before that.

Thanks for the info. however just got a quote for the regular z series cap. $4500 can. Leer is $2600. Leer plastic shelf it is. lol
I'm getting ready to order the XL or XQ... if you have the Thule rack, can you measure how much it sits above the topper? I want to be sure there's plenty of clearance in my garage. Thanks!!
Also... thoughts... I was 99% in on the XQ but think I may go XL now... XL looks different of course but I think every bit as good?? I know the hinges are supposed to be better, XQ has installed headliner but I thinking now to just save my $400 and go with XL???
