Damage to topper.
We need more dealers to act that way. My first topper, had two chips in it about the size of a dime which were like to eyeballs on a black top. When I asked him what the deal was he said well that's how they come in sometime. I told him it was 2500 bucks and that was a lot of money for something that was damaged before I even got it on my truck. He never offered any money off, and he had the gall to ask me where I work. I asked what that was all about and he said that the quality control is just not there anymore and that I must have let stuff go. He assumed that I worked on one of the auto plants down here I think because he asked which plant I worked in. I told him I was not in the assembly business but a retired public safety officer. He just shrugged his shoulders. He did not offer any incentive to take the top, and was rather pissed off at me because according to him he could not send it back. I told him that he should have sent it back before he accepted delivery and walked out. Sorry for the long rant, but its good to see dealers go the extra mile like cwtex04's.
Went to another brand of topper.

Maybe there is someone out there that can come up with something that is easily attached without drilling with a simple wiring tutorial on how to hook up a engine compartment light.

How about a slide-in camper....anyone do one of those? I always thought those were kind of cool...a bit hokey, but cool.
I wish someone would mrg'r a basic model, basically just a shell with some windows and a door, without all the other cr@p.
I'm currently working on setting up my RTT (roof top tent) on a cut down ladder rack. I'll post some pix when I get it done.
