i believe someone here mentioned this is the second recall for the same issue, first fix did not fix it. i also recall someone mentioning this new fix doesn't actually fix the issue. so i'm sure they will come out with another recall at some point. i did not do the fix as it doesn't get nearly cold enough where i am at to make any difference

It isnt a recall for the frozen door latches. It is a Field Service Action. If you are experiencing issues they will "repair" for free. If you are not experiencing issues then do nothing. That is what my Ford Advisor told me the last time I was in for the sea tbelt repair.

No it is an actual recall. They fix it whether you have the problem or not.

I got the 18NO3 applied to my truck and I have no issues anymore. It was 5 degrees when I started up my truck this morning.

I got this in the mail to me from Ford saying it was a recall. I haven't had it done yet but also shows up on my Ford app as a recall.

but its not a recall...its an extended coverage

This is a one-time repair program for vehicles that exhibit a door latch freezing symptom. Affected vehicles are eligible for this repair through October 31, 2028, regardless of vehicle mileage or warranty start date. Coverage is automatically transferred to subsequent owners. This program will expire October 31, 2028.
