If you want comfort, go with something that has progressive valving, like Fox. If you want handling and towing stability, go with digressive valving, like Bilstein.

I would not recommend Monroe's on trucks, never had a good experience of them either working well or lasting a reasonable amount of time.

I’ve had some very good experiences with their load leveling coilovers in other trucks

My 2001 had them front and rear did well with them. Before the fronts were struts…

Bilstein 8112 / 8100 update: after thinking the ride on my truck could not be better I removed the RoadMaster Active Suspension that had been put on the truck 6 years ago to assist in carrying tools and materials along with a Highway Products Pickup Pack I used to secure it all . Now I'm even more impressed... I did lose 1/2 inch in the rake . The truck now sits at a 1.25 rake .
