I will be ordering my 17 Lariat on May 15th from Beach Ford in Virginia Beach. Anyone in the area that ordered have any info on how long transit took? I am hoping to have it by mid July just in time for the Hatteras trip! I know that the rail cars are unloaded in Petersburg which is only an hour from VB.

I ordered from Priority Ford in Norfolk.

Here are the dates that I had.​

Ordered: 12/17/16
Vehicle first showed up in COTUS (VIN received) : 01/12/17
In Order Processing Completed: 01/18/17
Blend Date: 01/25/17
In Production Completed: 01/26/17
Awaiting Shipment: 01/26/17
In Transit: ?? (no date actually showed up here until the truck was delivered and then it showed the same date as the delivery date, but the green check showed up on 01/27/17)
Delivered to Dealer: 02/03/17 (COTUS was still showing 02/10/17)
Picked up from Dealer: 02/04/17

​Overall process from the date I placed my order with the dealer to me picking the truck up from the dealer 49 days (7weeks) including the week they were shutdown for the holidays.

Plan on 8 weeks minimum to 10.5 weeks.

 

How is Petersburg only an hour from the beach ? Do you know a short cut ?
