Shift/Display Questions
So I just got my truck a few days ago, 18 XLT Sport 5.0 V8. This morning I hit a button (either the + or -) on my shifter by accident, and on my display, to the right of the digital speedometer, it now displays 10-1, which I assume is showing what gear I'm in. First off I want to shut that off. It annoys me for some reason, lol. Second, what does DM, and the + and - symbols mean on the shifter? Is it possible I turned something on (or off) that I shouldn't have? Any insight would be greatly helpful! Drive safe fellas.
I recommend going to page 205 of your manual. http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Fo...10_2017_V3.pdf
Progressive Range Selection gives you the ability to lockout gears from the automatic shifting range. This may provide you with an improved driving experience (for example, in slippery conditions or when experiencing a steep grade).
• With the gearshift lever in drive (D), press the – button to active PRS. All available gears will display with the current gear indicated.
• Press the – button again to lock out gears beginning with the highest gear.
• Only the available gears will display and the transmission will automatically shift between the available gears.
• Press the + button to unlock gears to allow the transmission to shift to higher gears. The transmission will shift automatically within the gear range you select.
Once all gears are showing as available press + again to hide the gears from the display.

Seems to be a button with a steering wheel on it on the instrument panel, per the manual pages shown.
