Tonight just after dark the Motion Alarm went off in my '16 Lariat. Last week it did the same thing once at about the same time. Tonight, I shut the alarm off with the FOB but did not open the truck, then did a cursory check of the area to see if anything unusual was going on. Nothing seen so went back in the house. Well, in the next 10 minutes it went off two more times and as before, nothing around the outside to indicate why it would go off. Finally I opened the truck for a look see. Nothing out of place but as I was about to exit, a large, approximately 1.5 inch wing span moth, began flying around the inside the cab. After showing the moth the exit, no more alarms. So if you get an unexplained Motion Alarm, check to see if you're bugged.

 

Had the exact same thing happen. Alarm went off several times through the evening and couldn't figure out what was wrong. As I was sitting in the truck in my garage trying to do research on the alarm on my phone, I noticed a small moth flying about. Shooed it out of the truck and problem solved. Nice to know my truck is safe from theft, but holy sensitive! I usually turn on only the perimeter sensor now when I exit the truck in the garage.
