For those that have removed them, are you finding that it has increased the wear/compression of the left side foam of the seat? I’d love to remove mine but afraid it’ll cause more wear than there already is. Meaning, the foam being compressed and losing its stability.

My wife's 16 XLT (cloth seats) had running boards, but she always slid off the seat, never had any signs of compression, wear or discoloration after almost 3 years. Running boards to her are for climbing in, lol.

Seems like a lot of money for stock running boards hope you took it!

Trying to lose a lot of the chrome on my 2016 Lariat. Realistically what can one expect to sell the stock running boards for ?

I
I had those same running boards and hated all the chrome. I got lucky and found a pair of the same ones but in metallic black for $140 on LetGo, and turned around and sold mine for $130 on FB Marketplace the next day. I probably could’ve held out for more, but figured $10 for an upgrade and getting the old ones out of my garage was good enough.
