Here's a funny, thought it was myfordowner.com, so checked the URL first, and it redirects to a volvo page, and if you do it a couple times, it then goes somewhere else.

Here's the Recall for the seat.
Page loaded fine for me, but says there are no recalls for my vehicle.

https://Ford.owner.com loads fine, its the myfordowner.com that is funky. Type myfordowner.com in the address bar and press enter. It redirects to https://www.volvocars.com/us/cars/ne...erm=X3+reviews

Here's the best image I can find to visualize the parts involved... This is the Seat Base. I circled the "bar" or "tube" that the seat cushion appears to be attached to. There is another one on the front of the seat base, that's what the arrow is pointing to. What I can't find are any details about the clamps that attach the seat cushion to the seat base. Any ideas? I'm just trying to be educated before I call the dealer back...

The cover clamps to the pan itself. There are ears or flaps that have clips sewn on the end that roll up and around the pan and clamp to the inside edge. It pretty much attaches that way all around the front and sides to the perimeter of the pan, the rear flaps I can't remember how they attach, been a while since I had the cover off, but they were the most difficult to do because of some clips and cables under there that route over the cover and have to be removed first. The parts that can make noise would be the track and other hardware needed to lift and lower the front and rear of the pan.

Are you talking about a squeaking noise when you press down on the seat cushion? Almost like an old rusty spring

No, I'm getting a popping noise. I posted two videos of it above.
