As an afterthought....
I'm a Mac guy (Laptop, phone, watch, Airpods, AirTags) but I currently don't have an iPad (tablet).
I need Windows for FORScan, but I can also use it for my dashcam software, Cyanlabs, and adjusting the tune on my impending audio install.
Even though I put Windows on my Mac laptop, I got a Microsoft Surface Pro 7 because I chose to have all truck stuff on one dedicated unit:
- Windows
- Full computer in a tablet form factor
- Removable keyboard
- USB A port so no dongle needed
- Wifi
Since it's focused on my truck and a small footprint, it can be easily kept in the truck in the pocket behind the seat if needed.

You do not need internet for basic functions like reading and clearing codes. I connect with the Bluetooth on my Samsung Galaxy S23.
A guy I know has a higher end scanner that gives an additional 2 digits (UO257-00 and U0184-87) but I dont know yet what those last two signify on his scanner.
