What I find funny (ironic, even) is how Ford is dissing steel body trucks in its promotion of the Alu F150 despite the fact the rest of it's truck lineup from F250 up are all steel bodied.
It's one thing to make in-segment comparisons, but disregarding steel body construction in general is as much a disservice to Ford trucks outside the F150 as it is to competitors' offerings.

Even so, the promotion of aluminum body as superior today flies in the face of 2015 and 2016 Ford trucks, F150 aside. I've worked in strategic marketing, led competitive intelligence efforts as a feed-in to product advertising, etc so I've got a feel for the strategy or end-game ... but I still get a chuckle out of Ford commercials mocking steel bodied competition when so much of it's current sales are based around just that kind of product.
