Default Same old transmission problems

Does anyone know if there were any lawsuits against ford over the 10speed? I have a 2018 I purchased new. I drive a company vehicle so since 2018 and today I have 35000 miles on the truck and the transmission has started, hard shift and delayed shifting in the lower gears. It is sitting outside now with the battery disconnected to see if it will reset. If there is or was a lawsuit against Fors I would like to find that information.

thanks

None that I'm aware of although with all the issues and failures you'd think there would be. Mine is still going like it always has been @ 62k miles, clunky in the lower gears with an occasional surprise hard downshift from 10. More than once I tried to do a relearn but it returns to it's normal behavior in short order.

Get forscan and an OBD cable and you can reset the adaptive transmission learning yourself or disable it all together. That should resolve the issue. Or get a transmission tune from TL Tech (https://www.tltechpro.com) they have been tuning the 10R80 for years and helped a lot of folks.

The delay youre speaking of is symptomatic of a CDF CLutch Drum failure. A tune / adaptive reset wont fix this as its a hardware issue. Best bet is to get it diagnosed by Ford and see if corporate will give you $ towards the updated part.

Then (after the above advice) get a TL tune.

There is a class action law suit against Ford for the transmission. https://www.wallacemiller.com/

I had similar issues last year. It was the solenoids in the valve body. $2,500 repair that was thankfully covered by the extended warrantee.
