Default Rust/Front bumper

2020 F-150 Limited with 44k on the clock.

I'm wondering if anyone can clue me in on the Ford 5 year/unlimited mile rust warranty? These pictures are the left and right sides of the front bumpers along the edge where the fog lights are. Would this be covered?

Pretty substantial rusting - Florida truck.

Appreciate any input.

I believe it’s perforation only. This is why I go with chrome bumpers even though they don’t look as good as painted to match.

Unfortunately, it looks like your color is not just white but with heavy metal flake. I had my white XLT Rhino sprayed because of rusting from stone chips up here in the northeast. Never had another problem.

Mine is the Star White - lots of metallic. That would be a great fix but I'm sure I couldn't get a match.

I think unfortunately this would not be covered because it would fall under the 3/36 bullet?
  • If the body sheet metal has corrosion damage without perforation (holes), and the damage is not the result of abnormal usage and/or extreme environmental conditions, then the corrosion damage repairs are covered under the New Vehicle Warranty period: 3 years or 36,000 miles for cars & light trucks.
  • Rust damage resulting in perforation in body sheet metal panels is covered for 5 years/unlimited miles for cars & light trucks.
  • Aluminum Panels on 2015 F150s, 2016 cars & light trucks, and beyond vehicles, corrosion damage is covered for 5 years/unlimited mileswith no requirement for perforation.
