Just finished a trip from NC to Moab UT and back this week. 3,983 miles of towing through every season you can think of. It was 93* the day we left NC, and 19* and snowing with 40mph winds in Denver on the second day home. The truck handled everything without fuss. I am beyond impressed with what this truck can do. This trip to Moab has long been a bucket list item of mine, and i'm very thankful to have something that got us there and back reliably and comfortably.

That's a good read. I'm tired of hearing about "I have a barely audible squeak in my dash".
I like reading about a truck powering it's way through the good ole' USA...

It was one hell of a trip for sure! 3 days out, and 4 days back because we left half a day early to get east of Vail Pass in the event they closed it due to the storm. Each day out was 10-12 hours or more, each day back was 8-10. We went for a national event for a Jeep club I belong to, so there were close to 75 Cherokee's out in Moab for last week. We met up with some friends who live in the midwest on our overnight stop in Kansas, so for the last leg into Colorado we had a nice convoy of tow rigs and trailer queen Jeeps. One of my friends actually just picked up a 2018 XLT with the 2.7. Surprisingly, he averaged a little bit better MPG then me overall (mine was 10.6 for the whole trip, his was 11.2 I believe)...but I also have one more set of mountains to climb over than he does. Speeds were 70-75 for the most part the whole way.
The only very minor issue I had now that I really think about it was on the way out, when we drove through the cold front in Kansas it stormed so hard that water got into the trailer connector and caused a minor short. It suddenly popped up "trailer disconnected" on the dash. Stopped at a truck stop and unplugged it to find a good amount of water in there. Let it dry for a few minutes and put a good amount of di-electric grease on the plug, and it's been fine since.
To add more to the story, we sold my house in the middle of all of this. We had to be completely moved out before we left as we wouldn't be closing on the new house until the day after we got back (this Wednesday actually). Minus the hotels along the way and the house we rented in UT, the truck was essentially our home for 2 weeks. Good thing I bought the crew cab!
