Default Rough Ride

I have a new F150 XLT 4x4. FX4 Off Road

Question ... is there something that can be done to smith out the ride short of carrying around 500 lbs. of sand bags in the box?

I took a test drive and thought the ride was good. It was not this exact truck. After the fact I learn that Ford is the roughest ride of them all. I’m comparing to my 2010 Silverado. Ford guys are saying this is normal and “I’ll get used to it”.

Comments ?

This. I replaced my stock FX4 shocks, with Bilstein 5100's recently and the ride improved significantly. Now, I need to do the fronts, as soon as I find a good deal or an eBay coupon!

Just did the same about 10 days ago with rear Bilsteins. Quite an improvement!

Check your tire pressure!!! It doesn't take but a few extra pounds of air pressure to change the ride of the truck.

New shocks do wonders, as long as they're quality. I went with BOSS on my truck, night and day difference. Even with 33x12.5 10 ply mud tires and 20x10 wheels my truck feels stable and pretty smooth.
