And that won't work with the trucks the Ronin is made for. The ronin replaces the oringed plastic half turn plug, not the thread in.

Gotcha, unaware of the models that have a plastic plug.

They have switched back and forth a few times, some get aluminum pans with standard thread in, some have the plastic pans with the oringed plastic plug.

@jharmon203

I note that the 3.5L EB F-150 for 2019 is not listed, yet it is listed for the 2.7L EB.

I have a special order F-150 SCREW 3,5L EB in the oven at Dearborn with a delivery in 35 days. By chance was this drain cluster fixed for the 2019's?

Thank you

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Update: I have since learned that my early May delivery F150 3.5 EB Lariat has a standard screw on type oil filter (vs. the cartage only) and an aluminum oil pan.

YEA X2

Yes, installed Ronin drain plug and like it. It makes changing oil very easy and clean, don’t spill a drop. I also replaced the Ford fiber shield with a steel skid plate from RCI and it does not have to be removed to change oil. Folks can bash me all they want but I like the Ronin drain plug

X2 on the Ronin plug. I installed mine with my first oil change, and wouldn’t have anything else. I managed to not make a mess the first time, but that’s because I watched so many tragic youtube videos and learned first.

I park mine on ramps, and catch the filter oil rolling towards the back of the truck in a pan. Expensive, sure. Worth it? That’s up to you. I sure think so. I also send a sample of every oil change to Blackstone labs for analysis, and it sure helps get mid-stream samples without making a huge mess.
