I run 2 sets of RI's dually lights in my fog lights position on my Silverado. I run set of dually d2 driving pattern and 1 set of dually spot lights. They both come on at the same time and are crazy bright. I use them instead of high beams while driving down back highways.
I may be wrong but I believe that Rigid came out with an SAE approved street legal fog light. I have one of their Radiance Series lights and I thought I paid too much for a name until I got it out of the box and installed. Well worth the money.
Are they too bright for normal driving? I'd be getting d2's. Why the flood over driving?
I personally believe that the height of the beam is too high. Sometimes semi truck drivers block the light when I forget to turn them off, but that's also 9000 lumes coming at you. Lmao.
That looks awesome. Do you have a link to how you made the bracket or where you purchased it?
That's the top of the stock fog light bucket.. I cut the top and both sides of the plastic bucket where the stock fog light mounts. Left part of the bottom so that I could utilize the bolt hole on the bottom of the light as well. That way it has two ways that it's mounted. I got the extra set of fog light buckets off eBay for pretty cheap.

Rigid does have an Sae approved d series fog. I bought them along with the fog light mounts to replace my Morimotos. The Rigid fogs are the absolute best fog light on the market. They are bright, but the diffused lens doesn't allow them to blind anyone. They are street legal and I've yet to be flashed by oncoming traffic using them. And the cool thing is, with the rigid mounts, you can install a second d series light next to the fog. I'll try to take some pics for you guys. I know the price is high, but if you're serious about lighting, this is the way to go.
