Default Reverse lights on constantly

Hi all,

Just bought a ‘19 XLT Sport/FX4/Supercrew and we’ve noticed that the reverse lights are always on when the truck is running. They’re not at full brightness except when in reverse, but they’re always on when driving nonetheless. Doesn’t matter how I have the headlight switch set or if I have DRLs set to on or off. Regular tail lights, no LED/BLIS, and OEM bulbs.

Does anyone else experience this?

I would suggest a trip back to dealer.

Certainly not normal. Take it back, tell the dealer to fix it. If they're glowing very dimly, that sounds like a potential ground issue... which may not be the easiest thing to repair.

The strangest part is that they’re not dim. They’re about as bright as running lights in P/N/D but are brighter in R.

Anything tapped off of the rear view mirror power by chance? Like a radar detector or dashcam? Exact same thing happened to my truck when i hooked up my radar detector wrong. Also the mirror was "dimmed" or tinted like it thought there wer bright lights shining on it from behind.
