My kid broke my 4.2’’ display. I went to a salvage yard and picked up the exact same display. Now when I put the truck in reverse, the display stays on the radio display. How do I sync it back up with the factory installed reverse camera?
Did the truck you pulled the display from have a reverse camera? If not, (assuming the replacement unit is the same part # as the damaged one) you will probably need to have it reprogrammed to match the settings in your truck. I have never done this, but I know of at least two programmed settings; one in the FCDIM and one in the BCM that controls this option. Know anyone in your area familiar with Forscan?
Right from the list of reverse-engineered module parameters spreadsheet, available here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...qxY/editAdding reverse camera to non-touchscreen unitFCDIM7A5-01-01x2xxxxxxxxxxAfter making the changes run a BdyCM LIN New Module Initialization in FORScan wrench iconBCM726-39-02xxxxx1xxxxxx
Good luck,
Okstatetiff- I know this is reviving a long dead thread, but i just stumbled across your post- i have the same issue ( sorta- my display was replaced before i bought the truck- used from the dealer) the dealer claims they cannot find any “ modules” in my truck for my camera- although it is listed on the original window sticker i recently found.
What did you finally do to get your camera to work again? I have been searching the web to find an answer ( before i start pulling my stack apart).
Or- if anyone else has had similar issue/ solution, let me know.
