I *think* he's makinng a point about how pointless it is to edit out your plate in pictures due to you driving everywhere with it on display normally.

To your original question of back up taillight replacement. 6 yrs ago replaced back up lights in my '15 with 4X4 Truck LEDS.com . Purchased their mid-range lights (400 lumens). Have worked great for me, major improvement over original lights. Did not want to go with added taillights below or on bumper due to boat launches which have little or no slope and have to get water up to bumper at times. Would purchase again.
