Default Reset BMS After Using A Battery Maintainer?

Bought a NOCO Genius2 Battery Maintainer for my 2020 CC 2.7l STX 4x4 F150. Do I need to reset the BMS every time I pull the maintainer off the battery and go to drive the truck?

I haven't heard of anyone having to do that.
I know on my 2013 I never have but I only use a small charger when I'm messing with the Forscan program. My truck gets nervous when I'm trying to program and wants to go into battery saver mode.

Um no... think about what you are asking

If you put a new battery in every week... then reset the BMS

Not necessary to do the reset procedure--3 flashes, 5 brakes--after each charge cycle, but it does reset the battery age to "new" vs whatever age your OEM battery is. Can keep your BMS from disabling options like heated seats, heated steering wheel, auto-stop, and probably others that are shut down when the computer senses a voltage drop or thinks your battery is in a compromised SOC. I put my battery on a deep charge cycle every couple weeks, especially during the winter with cold temps and less driving, and do a reset maybe once every couple of months and it's still going strong 5 years later.

Thank you for the replies. Follow up question for you guys... When I first put the battery on the maintainer I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and I took each cable clamp off the terminals and adjusted them to try and get a better bite, but I forgot to unplug the maintainer from the electrical power first. Would this have done any damage to anything? Thanks again.

Most likely not. No worries. Biggest reason to unplug before clamping or unclamping the charger is to eliminate spark at the battery end.

When using the maintainer, connect it to the current sensor and not directly to the battery terminal. This was the computer and see what you are pushing towards the battery.

Yes, sorry I should have clarified that I did it the way you described, but thank you.
