That's the YouTube video I watched and read the comments... As to your being straight forward, I am not doubting your words or your knowledge of mechanics... I am a novice to this when it comes to fixing or repairing vehicles. So, IDS and FJDS stuff is Greek to me. Oil change, check. Replace wipers, check. Change or plug a tire, check. Replace air filters, check. Anything else, repair shop... Thus, my response earlier regarding not being a gearhead

For the work you're proposing, nothing needs to be done/reset or reprogramming in the PCM.

The only time you would need to touch the PCM is for battery replacement to reset the charging logic for a new battery.
