Default Reprogram snow plow button

I just upgraded from my good ol' 03 FX4 to a 15 XLT. The 15 has a snow plow button on the dash, that is cool and all, but I live in the south where it will most likely go unused. I have an OBD plug in coming this week, will I be able to use FORScan to change the button's function to turn on the back up camera for mid journey trailer checks? Any guidance on this is appreciated.

I don't know if what you want is possible or not. I can tell you that the Snow Plow switch is hard wired to the FCIM so you would need to at least rewire the switch.

I was hopeful that it would be a code thing. Thanks for the incite. I will investigate further.

Do you have 8" Touchscreen or 4.2" screen? I can provide the schematic for rear camera. Without 360 Camera the rear camera is powered any time the ignition is On, but the video is only turned on by the BCM which communicates with the camera via a LIN (Local Interconnect Network). The BCM looks for Reverse gear and a vehicle speed below 8 km/h [5 mph] before turning the camera on.
