In my 2014 with Sync 2 the seat heaters/coolers could only be pressed/activated through the head unit. In my 2015 they moved it to physical buttons and only the steering wheel heater is not a physical button. My question is, would I lose any other system or feature if I swap out my Sync 2 with a head unit that has CarPlay? Been eyeballing this Pioneer unit.

 

I believe, as long as the deck has the iDatalink interface plug in the back you can even retain the heated steering touch button. You'll get a climate option based on your trucks config.
