MSRP for the 3.5 coils is $113. Some dealers will charge straight MSRP and keep the 50+% markup as pure profit. Some dealerships will do an invoice price + small markup, like Tasca or others. Price at Tasca is $70/coil. RockAuto seems to keep the smallest margin, price there is $57/coil. So six coils and six plugs should be under $400 for genuine Motorcraft parts.

Tasca makes up their profits from high shipping and handling fees. Just my experience.

My local dealership (charges MSRP) for 6 coils and 6 plugs: $780. Shipping: $8. Total: $788.

Tasca for 6 coils and 6 plugs: $483. Shipping: $31.44. Total: $515.

UPS Ground quotes me $34 to ship a 12x12x6 package from Connecticut to me. USPS is $26.

Seems to me that Tasca is charging actual shipping costs and the local dealership is hiding shipping costs in the extra margin. Where's the extra $273 going?

Brick and mortar store vs drop shipping parts? I’ve had the best luck using Ruxer Ford. You can sign up for an account and usually get much better prices than Tasca and the shipping costs are reasonable and fast.

Ruxor is $536+$8 shipping, still $29 more than Tasca.

I did plugs on my EB at about 55K. Definitely ran stronger after a plug change.
