If your lug nuts are really stuck, just put a deep socket on them and give it a few hard hits with a mini sledge hammer, 4lbs is a good weight. After that, they should spin off fairly easily if the threads are good. I run into lug nuts that can't be removed with any of the impacts in our shop all the time. After using this trick, most of them spin right off like they weren't even tight.

If the above does not work, a longer cheater bar.
If it is too bad, you may end up snapping the lug.
Apply steady force on the handle and use common sense. If it is beond reason and you think it will break, rethink. ha
Could even attempt to tighten it and loosed any rust (if that is at all the cause).
Are your lug nut shells in good condition? I'd say make sure you have the best fitting socket, 6-point and a cheater bar on your breaker bar. You can use the handle from a floor jack if you own one.
Before you take a hammer to your breaker bar, I would say try using your foot to loosen. It is challenging with a pivoting breaker bar head of course.

First give them a good coating of WD 40 or something like it, spray them first. Let them sit a while let the spray work.

If the lug nut is "stuck" then it is likely the stud's threads are also damaged. Don't worry about destroying the nut or stud, both need to be replaced.

I have a old 6 foot piece of steel pipe that fits perfectly over my breaker bar. Haven't had to use it for lug nuts, but the damn bolts holding on the shocks didn't want to move without a little convincing.

When I use any like that I always snap the bolt.
On shocks? Original?
Did you try a little heat first?
I am imaging me with a 6 foot helper bar, wow.
