Default Remote start oddity

I have the blade style key with remote start. Last week we had high temps in the single digits below zero. When I remote started the truck for the first time of the day the LED in the fob would flash green 3 times, then red 3 times. Or it would be solid green followed by 2 red flashes. It even was solid red a couple times.

Strange this is that the truck started without issue every single time, regardless of what the fob indicated. Only happened on first start of the day, and so far has only been when the temp is below 10*F.

Ideas?

It's just not a good connection between the fob and truck. The truck gets the signal to start, but your fob isn't getting confirmation. For that reason I typically use my Remote Access App to start versus my key fob. The App always gets confirmation.

Or head back home to San Diego!!

Battery is a possibility, but the truck was a late September build and I got it off the lot October 17th. Shouldn't have to replace the battery yet?
