Default Remote start module

I'm a newbie and sure this has been discussed, but I've not had any luck. I want to add the Ford extended range remote start antenna to my 2018 Lariat. I'm not sure where the remote start module is located. I found some videos for earlier models, but not the 2018.

I think the radio transceiver module is located on the roof by the CHMSL.

Does your truck have the remote app?

Huh, hadn't seen this before. I've never thought I wanted more range (or use the app) but good to know it is an option. Post some photos when you get it installed?

Does your vehicle even have the post-factory vehicle security system installed? That is what that is for.

This is just for reference and others knowledge.
On 2018, the receiver is in the top rear of the cab next to the rear window and stop light.
The frequency is in the 915 mhz band. I have verified the frequency with an SDR receiver when operating the FOB, that sends out frequency shifted digits. There is little chance of interference at this high frequency even from the LED lamps.
Distance in the clear is nearly 100 yards if I put the fob on my chin as an antenna improvement.
Your system may be in the 433 range and the receiver in the dash. That may limit the operating distance.
LED Lamps that use fast switching to get the brightness may emit interference.
I have LED in my box lights but do not remember the spec but Sylvania. I have not encountered any problem since I don't lock or unlock or remote start with those lights on. If they flash, I don't know it and they are close to the receiver and wiring.
Good luck.

To add, my FOB also receives a reply from the truck of the remote start results, a two way communications.
