My truck has the perimeter plus module added for remote starting. It will start honking the horn like an alarm went off when it fails to remotely start on the first try. Is this a defect or a feature? It's very annoying when it happens first thing in the morning and wakes up the neighborhood.

I can't imagine any summer fuel yet in stations. Costs more, mandated date is May 1st. Refineries switch over in March and April, none out there yet.

You may think that, Fuel suppliers would likely tell you different.

For Minnesota,

As an example, in the Magellan Pipeline system, as of March 1 Fuel delivered into the system must have an RVP of 8.5 or lower and meet Class spec A-5, which has higher boiling point requirements.

Contrast that to 5 days ago, and the specs were an RVP of 13.5 and lower boiling point requirements (D-5). That meant there was more allowance for lighter components in the fuel.

Another Data point is the NuStar pipeline into our market. In Nov, Dec, Jan, the allowable RVP is 15.0. As of March 1, it is 10. Again, that means a lower volatility fuel is being delivered already, not in a few months.

Part of why the conversations about winter versus summer fuels are also funny. Folks have no idea when the changes actually are made in the system - and they are at different points than a lot of people think.

Also, notice when gasoline prices typically start rising - it isn't necessarily in advance of fuel requirements switching - that's already been happening.

If you turn the sensitivity all the way down does it stop setting off the horn when it fails to start?

Does it start normally when using the key? If so it's not anything in your filter.
starts the same way with the key. Headlights were trying to come on but flickered. as i turned it, took a couple seconds and started up. Weird.

My 2017 2.7 with 50k starts the same at 100 degrees or -20. Well, mostly... At -20 it might take an extra revolution or two to fire but nothing really noticeable.
