Default remote start and climate control

I have some questions on remote start and climate control in my 2016 Platinum - I have the climate control set to "Auto" and let's say 68 degrees - and then in the Vehicle settings (on the dashboard display), I have Climate set to Auto under the Remote Start options/settings.

When I enter the truck after remote starting it let's say 5 min before, the fan is blowing, and I believe the AC is on, but at a low level, and the cooled seats are not on (well, at least the LEDs on the button are not lit) - once I "turn on" the truck by pressing the brake and start button the AC will quickly ramp up to a higher fan speed, but the seats still are not on

This seems to conflict what is in the owners manual indicating that in "hot" weather the temp is set to 22c (around 71-72 degrees) and the cooling seat set to high....

I've also tried the "last setting" option for Remote Start/Climate and it does not do anything with the seats either

Anyone else have a similar experience and is there a magic setting I need to tweak or button I need to press?

Your description sounds like normal operation. The lights for the seats will not turn on when you remote start. And after you start the vehicle you will have to turn on the seats if you want them on. They don't stay on. Last setting will only do the climate control not the seats. And if you didn't have the air or heat on it won't do anything.

I found that using the last setting pre-cools my truck much better than using Auto. As you mentioned, in auto it does not blow at max speed.

True if you have your last setting on full blast. The problem I have is remembering to set the thing before I leave the truck. I love the auto because I don't have to think about it. At some times of the year here you may need air and heat in the same day. Easy to start the truck and let it figure out what it needs. Even when sitting in full sun on a 90 degree day I have found the auto to cool the truck and seats good enough to be comfortable.

firedaddy - how much time in advance of entering the truck are you setting it? Perhaps I'm not giving it enough time.... I'll give the seat bottoms a feel to day before turning it on to see if I can tell if they have been cooling

On average I try to start it 5-10 minutes before I need to go.
