Default Remote start on 2015 XLT?

I just bought a 2015 XLT. On my wife's explorer a friend was able to enable remote start through the computer. Does anyone know if it is possible to do the same with the 2015 F150? I tried to look through the FORSCAN thread, but it's just too big.

You'll need a remote start module.

Is that an OEM part or an aftermarket part?

Here is an example of one:

Plug & Play. Some people use Forscan to disable the horn honks.

I purchased this one last month and it works great with a 5 minute install and no forscan needed. It's pre-set to start the climate controls at the last setting when you turn it off, starts the rear defrost/mirror defrost if it's cold, and does not honk the horn when you start it.

My vehicle only came with 1 key, so I am going to have to purchase another key anyway. Is it possible to make any of these systems work with the ford remote start key?

Both the ones that are linked in above posts use factory key. The difference is the first one uses the lock, lock, lock sequence on key which will make the horn beep twice on the second and third press of the lock button.

The second link above uses the lock, unlock, lock key sequence which prevents the horn from beeping at all because you aren't pressing lock twice in a row.

I bought this one and my local ford dealer actually had it in stock.

It's the lock, unlock, lock version on oem keyfob which I prefer. My truck also only came with one key and this remote start works perfectly.
