I had a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT, 64k on it, that had since 2001. Sold it when I got the new F150 in May. I wish I'd kept it a few more years.

Thanks for sharing. Maybe time will make your loss seem less depressing.

Wow, that RAM looks awesome. I hope you sold it at a premium with those low miles to someone who will take good care of it. Otherwise, yeah it’s the memories that an old vehicle has that makes it hard, but that just means you gotta build new ones with the new truck. Hopefully you’re enjoying the new one.

We ran a fleet of Dodge 2500's back in the 90's here in Wisconsin just to have the Cummins engine. Engine was great but the bodies rusted out quickly and we had electrical nightmares with them. We are all Ford now with majority being F-150's with a bunch of them going back to 2002 and pushing 300,000 miles. I have several vehicles that I wish I could have kept for one reason or another over the years including a 2003 Chevy Impala with sport bucket seats and floor console. It was a great riding vehicle for long trips and 30+ MPG in a 3.4 V6. Yes we probably all have a former vehicle we wish we could still have in storage.

What did you get to replace your Dodge? My cross country trip that I had planned for my family this summer to the Rockies is postponed til next year now. My gut feeling is that my F-150 has great potential in equaling the love of my old Impala and move into the number 1 spot in my heart, but time will tell. Only have 4800 miles on it driving it mostly back and forth from work. No trips this year. Maybe your new F-150 will grow on you more over time. My F-150 sure is better than any of my three previous Rangers, or the Colorado it replaced. I had a 91 Ranger STX 5 Spd 2WD that I loved in a light blue. That was a fun truck also.

This is cool, I do also miss some of my previous vehicles and kick myself for letting some of them go. Not disappointed with the choice to purchase an F-150 though... as long as they can fix my damn camera (I haven't taken it in yet).

We'll have to see a pic of the dash. If it's all cracked to hell with pieces missing, we'll know it's a southern truck.
