Default Regular Cab Audio question

2018 xl 4x4. head unit is nothing special, small screen... sufficient but nothing extraordinary.
i would like to add some small speakers and an amp, but not sure what to expect behind the head unit. i used to build car audio systems 20 years ago and alot has changed since then. does anyone know if:
A) are there any RCA outputs behind the OEM head unit to plug into for an amp?
or
B) if i go into the settings menu on the radio, and move the fade adjustment from front to rear, there is no sound when moved to rear. could there be wires back there that are unused from the factory? i don't believe my regular cab ever had rear speakers and that the rear fade setting is for trucks with seats back there. i was thinking maybe they use the same wiring harness, but wouldn't be sure what color wires to look for or where, if they even exist back there. if they are there, i would just use that for inputs for the amp and could use the fade as a level input.
thanks to anyone that may have info.

There isn't any RCA outputs there. Best thing you can do is get a wiring harness adapter with speaker level inputs. Check out Crutchfield.

A visit to the Stereo/Audio section may be helpfull. HushCarAudio may help with a FOR11-CK harness to add an amp. RCSB standard in my 2017 has no fade option at all, no RCA's. Just front door 6x9s and windshield pillar tweeters. I upgraded to Morel 692 component speakers in factory positions driven by a Kicker Key with a FOR11-CK. Purchased open boxed parts and factory refurbished to save $$. Total cost to me in the $600 range. Install is not visible and sounds great! KM

My 2016 RCLB is an XLT trim package 301A, with the 4.3” screen - basic Sync and SiriusXM, not the 8” and Sync 3. It has a center channel, but no rear speakers and no fader control. DSP seems to be a choice between “Driver” and “All occupants”. If you were to install some small rears low in rear cab corners (as I did on a 2020 RCLB XL), you could use Forscan to code in the rear speaker auto detect and fader - but you’d have to add the wires/pins into the factory harness as they are likely omitted. Pull your ACM and examine that harness to be sure.

My 18xlt rcsb has the 8" screen with only 6x9 doors and center speaker. Tossed the center speaker out and replaced with jbl 3.5" but didn't like it. Here's my setup now which I think sounds pretty damn good.
1. For11ck harness
2. JBL 6x9 for the doors
3. Jbl tweeters in pillars
4. Jl audio loaded 10" behind seat
5. 300.4 amp to feed 6x9's and tweeters
6. Audio control L7 to run amps.
7. Sound deadening for the doors and back. (Really helps)
8. Sound setting changes made with forscan.( Search forscan stereo)
You can even make your high level inputs to low level inputs for rca's connectors off the wiring.
Look behind the driver's side pillar for your rear speaker wiring. It may or may not be there.
