Default Rear Parking Assisstance?!?

2015 SuperCrew XLT FX4.

These backup sensors/parking assistance (or whatever they are called!) are really annoying. I had 2 that were malfunctioning since I bought the truck - basically as soon as I put it in reverse it starts beeping and showing yellow on the backup camera for that sensor. I replaced both sensors with new ones and 1 of the 2 still causing issues when backing up. Constant beeping. Very annoying. I went to my settings through my dash prompts and turns OFF Rear parking aid. This shuts off the problem - but only until i shut off the key. Next time I get in the truck and put in reverse - it's back to beeping constantly.

I went through FORSCAN and used the codes to disable driver side seatbelt AND reverse parking sensors... I utilized 720-01-01 in the IPC section and used #3 in the xxxx xx*x xxxx. That should have disabled the backup warning AND seatbelt. It only disabled the driver side seatbelt warning...

Any tips on this?

I would suggest having the system fixed... it'll pay for itself in one "oops".

Just curious do you have something in your trailer hitch receiver?

This. I can't leave my hitch insert in the hitch because the backup sensors see it and go nuts.

Yes... Haven't thought about that being the problem. I'll give that a shot.

This seems to have nailed it. I took the hitch out and boom - no more false beeping. Thanks guys!
