Default Rear end damage

Truck was parked on the street and got rear ended. What are the chances they total it? Frame is bent on both sides.

First of all we know nothing about your truck. Year? Miles? If your truck has 200,000 miles then I'd say probably for sure totaled.

Id be worried about the drivetrain, if it was in park, all kinds of damage could have been done.

The others are right, only an insurance company would know and you have individual claims adjusters that each look at things differently to a degree.

That really sucks though, I hope they stayed at the scene.

happened right in front of my house as I was walking out the door. Stayed on scene. Waiting for insurance stuff to get sorted out now. It was able to idle around the corner to move it out of the way.

Wow that bent frame is major.....For what little I know it's a matter of repair dollars......It definitely needs a frame of some sort. What else???
Then & the important thing for you is a bad carfax....
Your vehicle will have a public record & be listed as having a major repair/accident with a new frame etc. & would be devalued when traded or sold...& you weren't even in it!!!
Would you buy a vehicle with a bad carfax report....for whatever dollars....I think not!!
That really sucks!!!

I think there was another poster who recently had similar damage and the estimate came out to be about $15k-20k if I remember correctly.
