Default Rear clunk fixed?

When did they fix the rear clunking sound? Or I just got lucky? I traded in my 17 for a new 19 on Monday and just now noticed I don't have the clunking sound coming from the rear end when I pull in/out of my driveway.

dont worry it will be back at about 5000 miles. also randomly when you start it you will get a bang from underneath. I cannot locate it, dealer says thats "normal" never have I ever had a bang from under a car when it started and it be a normal thing. but thats why I have the 100k b2b extended warranty.

I am investigating my 16' rear clunk. Just started.. only happens (or can only hear it) when I go slow and turn. Or if I go slow over a speed bump but angled. If both rear tires hit at the same time it does not make the sound. I do see an area where the leaf springs have play where the clamp/keep is towards the front. Maybe that's where it is as it snaps side to side?? My 16' with 100K and this is first 'real' issue. Not bad though...

With mine it sounded the same way. I isolated my issue by spraying different areas "one at a time" with silicon lubricant. I finally isolated it to the leaf springs and ford agreed so i got them fixed under warranty.

were you able to specifically find what the leafs were doing that was causing the noise?

I am not sure exactly which leaf it was, all I know is that I would spray between the leafs and the sound went away. I would drive for a week and the sound came back.

because it is applying clutches in advance of you sticking it in gear so that there will not be as much lag(almost none) if it didn't. the 10 speed has more clutch packs
