Default Rear bumper repair/replacement

Just bought a 2015 F150 Platinum and the back right bumper is dented in. Im paying out of pocket to fix it. Wondering if anybody would have an idea how much I'd have to pay to either fix it or replace it.

I recently paid $635 for a new right side OEM Ford part that was painted and installed at a body shop. (Ruby Red)

I would probably look on eBay or in the sell section here to see if you can get lucky. It is a somewhat popular mod to replace the rear bumper with a beefier set up. You might even look into that too, but be careful as not all aftermarket bumpers allow you to retain your stock towing set up. Plus you might want to look into a front bumper to balance it out if you look into the aftermarket solution.

That doesn't seem too bad. Hopefully I'll only pay about that much.

I paid $100 for the bumper corner already painted my color off eBay and installed it myself. Took maybe an hour to replace the steel portion and step pad.

My 2016 XLT with chrome package got lightly rear-ended 2 months after I drove it off the dealer's lot. The shop estimate for one new side (chrome) bumper, a new plastic top/center step portion, and one new backup sensor was $540 including labor. I thought that was dirt cheap. When my '05 got rear ended, the shop got $2200 for replacing that bumper. This time there is no paint work, though.

I'll see in a couple of weeks if they really can do the repair for that amount...

Definitely check eBay and replace yourself. I removed my whole rear bumper and the removed both chrome ends to be powdercoated. It's not difficult. Just go slow as to not break the tabs from the middle plastic piece.

All over eBay in different colors. One side, two sides, entire bumper. All cheaper than $635!
