I'm looking at switching my boss 2.5" blocks back to stock. Every video says to take the wheels and tires off to change out blocks. Do I really need to take them off? It seems that I could take the U-bolts off and put a jack under the frame on one side, switch the block, lower, and put the u-bolts back on then repeat on the other side. Is there anything wrong with that thinking?

 

I've done it both ways and it's a little easier with the wheels out of the way.

Now just to make sure... You are going to support the truck with jackstands at the frame and allow the wheels to hang and use a jack to support the axles right?

Just want to make sure you are not planning to loosen the u-bolts leaving the wheels on the ground and try to jack it up from the frame.

 

It can be done either way....just a little easier with the wheels off.
