Default Really helps!

We’ve had some unusually hot weather here in Minnesota for the past week. Not to mention air alerts from all the wildfires in Canada! I pulled my cabin filter and couldn’t believe how dirty and dark it was and I had just changed it last fall. I replaced it yesterday and noticed my air conditioner started blowing colder air! Put in a Fram Febreze and made the truck smell much better as well! Easy fix for under $20.00! ( just some FYI! )

I agree - this is often overlooked as part of the truck's maintenance, mine looked gross as well. Not sure if the previous owner ever changed it. Highly recommend the Bosch HEPA filter as a replacement.

Sheesh, had this truck for 3 years, and haven't changed mine yet. Reckon it's about time ,eh?

You can put a scented dryer sheet on the "outside" side of the cabin filter to do essentially the same thing as a Febrese filter.

This is a good reminder for this time of year. I'm probably overdue to change mine. I tried the Bosch HEPA filter once but found that it was more restrictive and reduced air flow, so I went back to the stock filter.

I change mine every spring along with the engine air filter. Ends up being around 22,000 miles which is more often than necessary for the engine air filter but a little over the 20k recommendation for the cabin air filter.
