Sounds about right as trip a sounds close to me except I have 3.31 so makes sense mine was a little better. I don't really tow ever but I have heard towing mpg drops a lot as you are in the turbos a lot more. Thanks for sharing

Advertised MPG is easy to get or beat, you just can't expect to keep up with traffic in most cases, and you surely cannot get advertised MPG hammering up the passing lane all the time.

That being said, I've gotten 20+ on long slow trips and average 16-17 in my typical rat race running...

Thanks for everyone who put their experience, like I mentioned just wanted to share as it is hard to find real mpg numbers for completely stock as most on here are enthusiasts who have levels and bigger wheels/tires... also seems like ford is really pushing the 2.7 so everyone I personally know that has a 15-16 f-150 has a 5.0 or 2.7 and I haven't been able to compare

OP, it works for me also.
All stock 3.5 eco, 3.55 gears, 22.3 mpg. This is from my last trip from lower Delaware to hunt camp in western Virginia 700 miles round trip. Same trip last year I got 21.4.

Awesome, good to know. As others have said i know you have to baby it some and not floor it passing people and if you have a head wind or are towing forget it but in just normal everyday conditions and cruising seems like 22 isn't out of the question. Took the same trip with my Ram last year and think I got around 14-15 I think

There are so many things that affect your MPG ... here is my "averaged" plot (based on previous 10 avg's) .. and the "raw" plot with the "avg'ed" shown as ref....
This is for my motorcycle ... and the biggest variation is how much my tank fills (auto shutoff with a 5 gal tank) ... but also includes how fast I drive, wind, etc.

Bottom line .. you have to look at a lot of avg's to see big pic.

PS: "Bump" was a long trip last summer over interstate versus canyon riding.

Just got done test driving a 3.5 FX4. Really want a 2.7 but is it in my head that I will get worst mpg in the 3.5? Loving the extra power though.
