Default Ready to start shopping

Been reading a TON of posts on here learning as much as I can. From Toptobottoms thread which is insanely valuable, to PCO’s, etc.

Wondering what people think of the new October incentives, hard for me to determine if I missed out on last month or not. Still need to locate a PCO (hopefully). Do incentives reset every month? Does it really matter to wait till November to see what incentives there are? I don’t necessarily need a 2019, the ‘18 is good for me as well.

Anyone else out there getting ready to pull the trigger? I’m planning on strictly email for negotiations. I have a local tiny dealership, which I know I won’t get a good deal at to do my test drives. Need to keep myself masked in the event I find a PCO.

Any dealer will know exactly all rebates, incentives and PCO you have via the Smart Vincent report. The dealer gets reimbursed for PCO from Ford Motor Cmopany. PCO really doesn't make a difference to the dealer.

Does not matter if incentives were better last month or not, it is past. But incentives and PCO will probably be higher as year end approaches. Yes, they reset every month.

You need to decide if you are picky on options or not. Inventory is low right now so your exact preferred configuration might not be available. In that case wait for a 2019. Another possible consoderation is interest rates are slowly increasing. 0.75 percent higher now than when I bought mine in Feb (refinanced with credit union in March).

Unless your dealer is known for not giving deals give them a shot. I got a better price at a small dealer than I would have from a large dealer I was working with.

Unless ford motor credit doesn’t their process unlike any other bank on the planet. I would imagine they will pull your credit up front....and have to pull it again when the truck is completed. Which I am assuming is not within tour 14 day window for auto lending. So odds are....you will have two hard inquiries. They don’t mean a ton for your credit (always are negative). But they do clear up fairly quickly and if you don’t have more that 5-9 in a year.....won’t be the end of the world.

sorry this should have been posted in a different thread. Mods can delete if they want. It’s totally irrelevant! Haha, sorry

When you apply for a loan thru Ford Credit, they will pull credit bureau reports. The dealer has a control number, and they can go back in and use that same application control number later to process the deal. For example if you came back 3 weeks later in order to complete the deal.

I wouldn't worry about numerous inquiries on the CBR. They might get you penalized if you went to every car dealer in town seeing what dealer can get you financed. But most people don't need to be concerned about a small FICO score change as they'll quickly recover.

I bought a new truck a week ago, and my FICO score was 860. And I don't even have a job.
