WOW!!! I'm quite honored by this statement. Thank you very much for the compliment Doug. It's comments like yours that makes a build like mine all worth while.

A Raptor isn't for everyone. Personally, I don't like them. I guess I just don't like the style of them.

Slap the Bullit spec 480hp coyote in it and yes, it would be my preferred truck. If you can buy your dream truck bone stock off the lot, you need to dream more creatively!

Not until they put a V8 in it. Even then, V8 XLT can be built to be more capable than a Raptor for less $$$$

I don't like leather seats either. I'm so glad they make (the poor man's Raptor) the 800A pkg. It's the only F150 you can get with cloth seats and LED head and tail lights.

Saying OEM is not as good as modified is a loaded supposition. Not disagreeing more can be done with an XLT, the end result is not OEM quality with warranty etc. Just saying.

I love the extra middle seat of XLT front row so I can fit one more people on the road trip, not ideal but it is still nice to have. Raptor is 6 inch wider so it can be made to have pretty comfortable seat in the middle front.
If you're going to be spending more time in garages and parking garages than off-road, then the Raptor is not the truck for you.

The truck may be 6 inches wider, but the cab is still the same as a regular F-150. You're not going to gain anything in seating space. I've only used the middle front seat in my '04 SuperCab twice in 10 years, so I hardly think any Raptor driver will be driving around enough with 5 more passengers to really need a 6th seat.

Not much less $$ than a 800A Raptor. But the 800A Raptor will depreciate much less.

So aftermarket parts are lesser quality than OEM? I said more capable, not higher quality. If that were the case, no Raptor guys would do any "upgrades" to their truck, because it would make them of a lesser quality. That is not what I said. My comment said "more capable for less money" (meaning more capable than an OEM off the lot Raptor).
