Question Random SYNC Warnings

How do I turn these off? I randomly get warnings on my cluster in front of my wheel to "Keep hands on the wheel at all times" when I STILL have my hands on the wheel. Also, will randomly get "Driver, please pull over and rest as soon as possible" warnings. My wording isn't exact but it's along those lines.

You probably have your Lane Departure system set to either "Aid" or "Alert+Aid". When Aid is on, it will tell you when it thinks you haven't touched the steering wheel in a while. Either change it to "Alert" or push the button behind the shifter to turn it off altogether.

As far as the message telling you to rest, I'm not sure if that's the same as the above, or if that will happen regardless of how the system is set. Basically it's telling you that you're drifting all over the place.

This also could be you programed a smart key. If you have Sirius Radio, turn on Stern, 100. If it blocks it, you somehow programmed the key.

Thanks for the replies. That makes sense. Just wish I wouldn't get the hands on the wheel messages when my hands are still on the wheel.
