Default Random button configuration

So, recently the buttons on the left of my steering wheel got all mixed up for some reason -- the up arrow is now functioning as "ok", the ok button functioning as the right button, the right button is going up, etc -- the only button working as intended is the down arrow button scrolling down. I'm not sure if I accidentally selected a different configuration somewhere, or what could have happened. Is there a fix for this anywhere that anyone knows of?

Most of the common answer is "The clock spring is probably going bad".

2015 and 2016 MY have had a higher incidence of clockspring failure than other years. I agree with 16IngotFX4. It is a fairly easy R&R. There are 2 different clocksprings based on your option level. Lariat and above uses a different one from XL and XLT.

From all the posts I seen, definitely sounds like the clock spring.

Interesting. Thank y'all for the input, I didn't even know that was a thing. Is this something that is just an annoyance if not fixed, or would it lead to actual issues? I guess, how high of a priority should this be to fix?

Your steering wheel airbag wiring goes through the same clockspring. Do you like to gamble? I would change it if it were me.

And it was a known issue with a revised part used in later years. So I too would change it.
