Radio / Application Update
Does anyone know if you can get a software update for your Factory Radio / Navigation unit? I have a 2015 Lariat and am curious if they can upgrade the software to include the look, apps and components of the 2016's or even 2017's.

No, there will never be a software update for MyFord Touch users (2015 and earlier) to Sync 3. Aside from differences in processor/memory needs, Sync 3 requires a capacitive touch screen which MFT build vehicles do not have. It is an entirely different system, different OS, different hardware, top to bottom new or significantly updated.
Your only way to "upgrade" would be an entire system swap out, which I have seen sold online but it's about $2000 I think. Depending on F-150, may cost about that much on trade in losses to just get a 2016 or 2017.
