Default Radar

I want to mount my Escort unit in my 2015 Lariat. I can get a hard wire connection from Escort which has spade connectors. Has anyone done this that can share their experience?

I see there's a sensor in the forward/middle of the dash. Can I cozy up to that or will it cause issues?
I assume there's a pass-thru in the fire wall, but I'd rather have it switched with the ignition.
What's the best way to snake the wire up front?

Thanks,
TomJV

I used the power from my '07 rear view mirror to power my V1 and plan to do the same for my '16 when it gets here next week sometime. check out 'mirrortap' on amazon.

Default wiring a radar detector

Thanks, I'll look into both these solutions.
