Default Quiet start

Anyone who has used this feature with a loud exhaust does it help not wake up the neighborhood? Does it affect the warm up of the truck in winter?

No may be louder.

Quiet start is the same as putting your key in the ignition. With quiet start off it idles higher around nine hundred or a thousand to warm it up faster.

With it off or on? I thought it idled lower in quiet start?

Quiet start off equals less rpm but initial start sound will be same. Ive used this and tried many times and never see difference on start. Also horn should not sound when on.

Ok so quiet start equals louder than normal start wtf.... I'm confused.. I thought it was for the purpose of being quiet and the initial rpm would be same but would bring it down faster than normal... Maybe I can't read....

The horn sounds if the system fails to start,
unless quiet start is on. Quiet start runs the
blower fan at a slower speed to reduce
noise. You can switch it on or off in the
information display

oops repeat lol.

The information can be found in the on line owners manual.

Just pull up a copy of the PDF manual on line and search "quiet start".
