I'm in need of some bed lights now that I've added the tonneau and it blocks out the cargo light. My truck did not come with these:


After watching a video about it, it looks very easy, however I noted that these don't come with any wires. My truck has the tow package, rear lamp, etc. so I believe it is pre-wired for lighting, but I still would need this, right?

It doesn't seem like amazon sells these wires? I am reading the comments on the lights, and in the questions, people ask for lights and the sellers just say "ford sells them". I am thinking Ford will probably want $100 each or some inflated price. I was unable to find the cables on rock auto, either. The only place I could find the first cable was asking $70. Seems like a lot for a 1 foot cable, especially when you can get both LED lights for 15 bucks. Does anyone have experience adding lights (not replacements with existing wiring)? Do I just have to bite the bullet and pay a dealer or is there something online where I can get the cables for 30 bucks or so? Thanks very much.

I've got the lights, I just want to buy the wires. And hopefully for less than $70 for a foot long Y connector, too...

 

I'd also be interested in buying that "Y" connector separately. Looks very clean. Please keep us posted if you find it.

Where did you see it for $70? Never mind -- I see it now on the Starkey website.
