So before anyone hit me on asking this before I used the search, what I can say is I did do a search. From what I can see, everyone wants to put a 2015 running boards on a older model (2013 -2014). My question is exactly opposite.

I will be a proud owner of a 2016 Lariat 4x4 this evening. I'm having the truck delivered to me (which is nice) so I have been talking about it for the last day or so at work.

Long story short, is my buddy has a 2014 FX4 and will give me his stock running boards to put on my truck. Since mine is not coming with any right now, free is a good thing.

My question for all you F150 guru's out there will this work?

This will be my first F-150 (minus a few work trucks I have used) that I will own.

Any Ideas?

Sorry but they won't fit. Completely different mounting place and brackets.
I had a 2012, and went to a 2015, and hoped I could swap, but wasn't possible.
The bed cover did though
